Getting The Best OUT of NTUF 2020

North Tyneside Ukulele Festival: What usually happens…
Bay Uke, the organisers of the North Tyneside Ukulele Festival, pick a weekend in November to host their festival. The Friday night event happens at the Spanish City, Whitley Bay and the Saturday night event at Cullercoats Crescent Club. Great acts, great open mic sessions, stall holders… all the usual stuff. We finish off on Sunday at Tynemouth Station.

This year…
Almost none of what usually happens can happen this year. Instead we have had to move online but we still have great acts and great open mic sessions. We, like everyone else, are doing it differently in 2020. Our headline acts have all sent us videos this year. We have also had contributions from all over to our open mic slots. There are two live Zoom sessions. There are shops to browse and the Festival Songbook to download, there is a page full of free stuff. We also have a Songbook Singalong page where Bay Uke members have sent in their own renditions of songs in the songbook. Just in case you don’t know the song.

Buttons…
We’ve kept the buttons simple. One says Click and it takes you to another page, the other says Click here to view and this will take you to a video on YouTube.
